The first mod I did was soldering in an x3ce, and it worked wonderfully. I've decided that I want to try a softmod, have XBMC, and to install either a 250, 320 or 500 GB hard drive. My question is in what order should I do this? Softmod > XBMC > HDD or Softmod > HDD > XBMC ? I plan on using SID 5.01, XBMC Installer Deluxe 1.01, and western digital hard drives.

Softmod with SID and then use XBMC Installer to upgrade to XBMC and then use chimp to do the HDD upgrade.
