Posted: Mon Jun 22, 2009 9:31 pm Post subject: CANT BOOT TO INSTALLED DASHBOARD
ive got a hardmodded xbox with a excuter2 chip. i just formatted and used aid 4.5 one click modchip installer option with xbmc as my dash. after it finished i rebooted and it will only boot to the ms dash. tried deleting the trainer file (there was nothing in it). can someone help me out. i have no clue what to do next. i figured that using that option would have done it automatically. i dont know how to make ini files or were they would go even if i did so pls if thats what i need to do a step by step instruction would be great

Download x2 config manager. install it to your pc and use that to write your ini files and tell your bios where to find your default dash .xml.

I think you want to point it to the C: evoxdash.xbe since that is ware AID puts the short cut for your XBMC.

Most of the time it should work right from the one click install, what BIOS are you running on the X2 chip?

acually in xbmc system info screen it says bios unknown. please add md5 from xbmc.log to biosid.ini. not sure what that means. should all the bios bank switches be turned on at the same time??

no thats the problem i bought it planning to softmod it a few days ago. i didnt even look in the box till i got home with it then saw it had the mod chip and a 120 gig harddrive in it. it was running evo x and had a old version of xbmc on it. then as i started looking around it had all kinds of pictures and pawn movies etc on it so i decided to wipe it out and do a fresh install on it. i have softmodded a few boxes however i know NOTHING about bioses and ini files and stuff. i think maybe the box was modded a long time ago however so the bios is probably really old. the chip is red in color and when i boot it says xcuter 2 were microsoft usually is. its also got a printer port on the back of the box right on top of the av port
