I have a 160GB drive in my xbox at the moment and would like to swap it for a larger drive

Would this one work?

Failing that I know there is a way of using a SATA drive if I have a converter
but I'm not sure where to get one
I live in the UK so if you give me any links please take that in to account

I have plenty of SATA drives floating about so in theory this method would be better

If you have a chip, ANY hdd will work.

With no chip, you want to make sure the drive can be locked by seeing if it is on this list HERE.

yup, if you check out our HDD database you should find plenty of working models.. Not sure about SATA coz ive never tried.. No doubt there would be some sort of converter/convertor out there.. Smile

With a modchip fitted you can just put in the Auto Installer Deluxe DVD (AID) and it will find the new hdd and ask if you want to format.. Smile

Sadly its only soft modded so there is no chip

limited funds are also a factor

looking at the HDD list and sorting it by size shows the largest drive being just over 80GB am i doing something wrong?
