Ok. I have a modded original Playstation. No problem.
However I bought a modchip to install into my slim PS1 and soldered it as instructed but nothing works except originals.
Here is my problem. There are very few places that still deal with PS1 stuff and most of them are scams. Does anyone have any info that can help.
I know this is the Xbox forum and I am sorry but I do not know where to turn. I have come to trust you guys so much. I just hope someone can help me. Thanks

Moved this to the right forum.

I tried to install a PS1 chip in my PS1 about a year in a half ago. I couldn't find any sure fire way to get it hooked up so I tried tried one way that I thought would work. Well I ended up breaking a solder point off and when I powered on the console it smoked a bit and had a blank screen. Needless to say that PS1 is in the trash bin.

Sounds about right. I have an modded original playstation that works.
I may try breaker pro. No chip needed. I am pretty sure it does not work for all games but I will take what I can get. Thanks.
