hi,
when i start you tube on my xbmc on the xbox i get a list
of films en i can search for films of trailers but i can not play them
why please help met

Sorry to make you wait bro but i am in the middle of setting all my XBMC stuff up and will look in to this once i have it all set, could you list a .flv or 2 that you just cant get so i can recreate the error?

No I do believe he's talking about the vid's on youtube they are in .flv format, could you please list a couple of vids you carnt load so he can try to recreate the error

when i click on a file he is downloading it but he opens nothing i havetried many files nothing works it gives no error

.flv files are the format that the youtube videos are and xbmp will not play .flv it will not give an error. you need to download them to your pc and them convert them if you wish to watch them on you xbox. I also tried that and that is the only way that I could download youtube vids and watch them on my xbox. http://www.download.com/Any-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10661456.html?tag=mncol You can go to this site to download any video converter 2.71 and you can then convert the files and FTP it to your xbox... as far as I know that is about the only option you have..

spottty is right i just need you to list some of the youtube videos that wont play, i said .flv since thats what a youtube vid is but all i need is the title to some youtube videos that wont work.
BuddyHiggins you are correct if you want to play the vid from your HDD but is using the youtube script that is made to play the video right from the site.
