I've got a soft modded box running XBMC. Now I have it enabled to run 480 and 720.
It appears to randomly choose what it wants to load. Sometimes its 480 and sometimes its 720. I only know because on my TV in the top corner it says 480 or 720.
Im using the fancy componet cable. Even when I disable 480 and leave 720 enabled it still loads 480. Im not booting directly into XBMC so maybe thats the problem?
Please forgive me if I sound like a dork because I'm not a real good audio/visual guru, but setting up my screen settings is getting annoying on my WideScreen.

Oh yeah what Dash am I running. I'm running what ever Wes suggested in his howto soft mod your Xbox video. I haven't looked at other dashes as of yet.

I got the same cable and run the XBMC builds from the T3CH and i get my dash at 1080i at all times, some games wont play in 720 but the game case will tell you which ones will.
If your still running the Evox dash from the Tut i would say just upgrade to Avalaunch if you want something simple but good and XBMC if you want your dash to do it all and then some.

Ok, I've just been installing everything as apps so I can test them out. So far its XBMC is my favorite. I'm guessing all the jumping around is screwing with my video.

Well if you set 720 for evox then launch XBMC and haven't set it to 720 it will go back to 480.
