Hi All
I was hoping one of you could help me. I had my Xbox modded. My Xbox v1.0 has an Xecuter v2.0 lite mod chip, and a 120g hard drive. When I power the Xbox up I see a screen containing - “FlashBIOS (Cromwell)” some codes and http: sites, xbox version, temps, and hard drive info ie - “hd: ST3120022A 120.33GB hd: THOMSON - DVD 124" and “Please insert CD with Bios update”
My question is
Is my bois flashed?
Does my bois need flashing?
Is my problem the jumper on the bois switch?
Can someone please help?
Thanking you all in advance
Sue

No Problem Sue. I just went through this.
It is flashed with the cromwell bios and now needs a bios so you can run Evox or whatever dashboard you choose.
So you do need to flash it again. I am writing a tutorial on how to do it all including setting up the dashboard and it should be done by tomorrow.

too true connor2k,
When you purchase the modchip it comes with the Cromwell Bios already flashed onto it..
THe reason why you have to FLASH it with another BIOS is because the modchip makers cannot sell a product which contains Microsoft Code (Bios).. So you have to find it yourself on the net..
The Cromwell Bios is only useful for loading Linux etc onto your xbox and will not allow you to play backup games.
