OK basically I have an unmodded xbox that I want to soft mod. I also have a modded xbox which I can ftp through and I am looking to transfer the necessary game saves from my PC to my memory card (official microsoft one) on the modded xbox via FTP. I will then of course transfer them from the card to the xbox that is to be softmodded in due course.
However I am not 100% certain how I actually get the saves onto the memory card initially using FTP. I am currently just using internet explorer "ftp://xbox:xbox" etc to get a connection. This works fine and I can see all my drives however it would appear there is no drive I: (which I thought would be the memory card drive) even though the memory card is recognised in my xbox when I plug it in.
Any ideas how I get the files across? E.g where exactly within the E: Udata folder would I put them?
Edit: I downloaded the trial version of flashfxp and that too did not show up the memory card as a separate drive. Oh and I should point out my default dash on the modded xbox is XBMC.

Since the card shows up in your file explorer just FTP the save and installer to the xbox HDD(some ware you can find it) and use the xbox file manager to put the save and installer to the card.

When you say file manager do you mean the XBMC file manager or something else? When I get into the XBMC one I can see the relevant save and installer files (I put them in E:/Udata) and memory card but I am not sure how I would move them across from one place to the other?

Set the left side of XBMC FM to ware the save and installer are and the right side to the card, now high lite the save and push the white button (i think) and select move.
That will move the file from its location to the location on the other side of the screen.
Then you just need to do the same for the installer.

OK that worked out fine in terms of transferring the files onto the card. However I received an error message when checking through the MS Dash that the files on the memory card are corrupted. I should point out I extracted the two relevant files (SID5 Installer and SID5 Loader Splinter Cell Pal) first.

I always did it by opening them up and just moving over the Folder in the Udata folder the one with a long line of numbers to the card.
But most folks just leave them in zip format and they say it works best that way.
But to just unzip and put to the card wont work.

I initially tried just the unzipped files but it only showed up in the card as 3 blocks! Will try re-transferring using just the folders you mention I assume the folder in question (within the udata directory) is applicable to both files?

Wes, with the files zipped it wouldn't work properly for me. However using your method it worked like a charm (perhaps it card related and thats why others are saying it wont work?). Anyway successfully softmodded and now currently in the process of installing XBMC via the softmod one click install on the AID disc. Thanks again!
