howdy howdy, I have an Xecuter 3 modded xbox with AID 3.1 and am trying to get my Surreal64 emulator to work. The problem is not with the emulator itself, but with actually getting the ROMS onto the hard drive. Everything works great with the software, I'm just trying to figure out how to get the file managers to work...
Anyways, I burned a UDF DVD with all the ROMS on it, and stuck it in my xbox. The DVD drive can read the DVD, but it says there is no data on it... Weird because I'm using the same DVD's I use to copy games, and I used the UDF format on CD's when I was installing the BIOS... Anyways, my computer tells me that all the ROMS are on the DVD, but for some reason the xbox cannot find any data. Is there a better way to transfer ROMS to my F:\Emulators\Surreal64\Roms\ folder or is there a way to get this method to work? p.s. FTP isn't an option right now because of lack of a LONG ethernet cable... I REALLY appreciate any help or advice anyone has! Thanks a bunch!

What dash are you using? I use the file manager within UnleashX and it works great for me. I know Avalaunch has a good file manager also.

Are you sure you burned and ISO image of the ROMS and not just the data?

It sounds like there is no info n the disc that the XBOX can read. Make sense. If you didn't burn an ISO image, it won't recognize it.

How did you burn the disc you tried?

Have you considered FTP. It would most likely be the easiest way for you.

If you have a PC then FTP'ing the roms into the Emulator rom folder will do the trick.

Happens to us all ENTERPRISE. Very Happy

If you pile all your Roms in to an ISO file made with the qwix App you can transfer Roms via DVD bigheadpirate.

Yup, thats how I'd do it too. Of course, I have the benefit of a REALLY long ethernet cable (30m), made by my own hands, so I just FTP anything I need really.
