I have installed dvd2xbox several times on my box with auto installer 4.1 I think but it has only worked once! What is the deal with this?? It starts to go to the load screen that has DVD2Xbox plastered all over it and then it just sits there. . . I want to make copies of a couple of my games cause the disks aren't in that great of shape and I am going to be moving in a couple months and want to make sure I don't lose anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it over and over, is there a different program I can use or what? Oh, I have also tried the copy disk command that comes with my version of Unleashed and that worked once with Halo and Half-Life 2 but once I deleted those it never worked again and gives me an error code. I've never had any problem with dvd2xbox, both old and new versions. I'd try clearing your E:/cache folder, along with the contents of X, Y and Z and try the install again.
Yes and if that doesn't work then it is probably a bad copy of aid or your hard drive is corrupted. Try downloading Aid again and burning it to a new dvd and if that doesn't work then your hard drive is probably corrupted and needs to be reformatted. Hope this helps. _________________

Give pxhddloader a try and see if it will work.

reformatting da hdd, may work, but if the sectors on the hdd is corrupted u have to run a special program to fix it, spinrite 6.0 is very good, but the hdd has to be unlocked tough, if u like it could send you the iso of the program

Well I tried some of your tips and none of them worked I don't know what programs you guys were mentioning but if you could give me more info on them that would be cool. I also just bought a xbox off of a budy for cheap and am working on modding that. It is an old one with a different dvd drive from mine. Mine is a samsung and his is an. . . i can't remember I think a wilson maybe? Anyway I wanted to put his Hd in mine but it won't work and I tried putting my hd in his and it doesn't work. Why is that? I am guessing it has something to do with the mother board but I can get my dvd drive to work fine in his box with his hd which strikes me as strange. _________________ RastaCalavera

I don't know if you need anything as drastic as a reformat or rebuild. it sounds like everything works alright but you can't install the app. I have both DVD2xbox and pxhddloader. and I use pxhddloader exclusively, why idk it just has always done what I needed it to do. can you ftp into your xbox?

da reason ur hdd, didn't work in his xbox beacuse is ur hdd has a unique password that is only unlocked by ur xbox, not anyone's elses, that's da way microsoft made it, spinrite 6.0 is a repair program for bad hdd, i'll send u the program if u want it

I can still FTP files and what not to my xbox and DVD2Xbox is installed but it goes to load and then just sits there forever. Is pxhddloader on the AID Disk? I can't find it on mine

As final cloud suggested clear your cache files and probably anything in X,Y,Z How big is Your Hard drive could it be full.

right well i still haven't fixed the problem on my main box but the other night i installed DVD2XBOX on my spare and it worked fine. I made a copy of Hitman to my hd, tried it out and it played fine but then when I went to reboot I got the call microsoft crap on the screen and it won't boot to unleashed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!! why does DVD2XBOX RUIN EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the program just hates me. So now how do i fix my other box so I can atleast get back to the dash????? _________________ RastaCalavera
