My dad has season 2 of chappele show on dvd and i want to put it on my xbox hdd so i can watch it in my room at anytime. I was wondering if it is possible to watch movies off of your hdd somehow (maybe dvd to xbox to rip the movie to the hdd then use an app to watch it off the hdd?). _________________

Use DVD2Xbox. It's on the AID disc. I think hddloader might work as well not sure. Once ripped to the HD use XBMC to watch them. You might have to add the folder in XBMC _________________

XBMC is by far the best media app for the xbox. I believe its the only one which is still actively developed. There are other programs but XBMC is the best choice. If you dont wanna make it your dashboard just install it as a app.(make sure you try out the MC360 skin its sweet) _________________

Yeah Wes, I've been hooked on the xtv one too (Black theme FTW). Still getting used to the UI, it's a little different than PMIII or MC360.
And darth, once you rip the dvd with dvd2xbox, look for a folder call video_ts or something similar in the directory you saved it to. Open the Video_ts folder and select the larger files, one of them should be the episodes. _________________

Another way to do this is to rip the movie to a specific folder. In that folder you should have video ts .... ANyways on the main folder push the white button on the controller(i think its the white one) and it will load a menu select play and the movie will load to the menu screen just lke you put the movie in the drive.
To skip having todo this when you rip the movie using DVD2Xbox set the mode to rip it as a .iso This will make things easier as you wont end up with multiple folders etc. _________________
