My cousin rented nfl street 2 for his xbox and the game somehow deleted every save on his xbox including the softmod. Now his xbox will not play backups at all but still work for normal games. He wanted me to put the mod back on but i told him we could kill it permanently since i didnt know how to do it. Can Anyway exsplain how do i a reinstall the softmode now? And a guide on how to do it. its been so long since i did anything on the xbox 1. This is SID 2.0 and i donno what drive he has long time since ive had a xbox 1.

Well man this is not a real big deal and since you got to resoftmod it you can update it at the same time.
First thing you will want to do is go get SID 5 from here: http://www.aidtracker.com/
That tut is by DJB the man that made Aid and SID so i think youll find it works well, when your done you should have everything back but the save files you lost.
If you get stuck or need anything let us know man.

Whats new in 5.0? also i think his xbox still has the exox dashboard but will no play backups just normal xbox games. Also this xbox isnt ever gonna be going online.

Then just put the game save exploit back on it and if it wont work use the steps and tools i listed in my first post.
All it updates is the dash files and some codeing has been fixed, nothing to big.

can i copy the save from my other xbox or is the save linked to each system? Also if the system is working and i just add the save will it know to boot the save? ive forgotten this whole softmod stuff and how it works. Also will it require a memory card i may of lost the one i had.

Yes you can use your save exploit and you will need a memm card or a flashdrive.
If you can still FTP the xbox you can do it that way.

im not sure what kinda dashboard he still has ive forgotten what he said. what usally happens when the save file gets deleted for the softmod? does the evox dash still load? i need the evox dash to be able to ftp.

You just need to put the save exploit in your game saves.
When you do that it should start booting to evox dash again.
You will need action replay and you will need a memm card or a flash drive.

i just noticed i have the mechassault save for SID2.0 and SID3.0 if i put the wrong version save on the saves folder of my cousing xbox will it kill the xbox? any way to tell what ver he had? BTW he says the evox dash is still there but he cant do backups or anything just normal games. what next? i can ftp since the evox dash is still there.

You could just pop in the aid disc and do the softmod install on it with that.
I wold back up anything you want to keep first but it should work.

so taking the mechassault save and putting it back into the saves folder on the xbox should allow backups again? i find it odd that the thing still works without the save and has the evox dash. Is there anyway i could mess the xbox up by simply FTPing the save mechassault save back onto the xbox and rebooting?

I dont think so, if you name it right and all thefiles are there you should be fine.
Even if you missname it it wold just over look it.
