Hallo Forum,
Some Time ago, I already managed to get an Xbox, install UnleashX using 007,
and finally installed XBMC with my big music database. I am also using a 120 GB hdd with xboxhdm.
Now I want to install linux.
I read some articles to replace 'Xbox Live' with Linux in M$ Dash.
I got a MechAssault CD and the label is 'MS02301-L1'
I got the files EmergencyLinux.zip, which i have written to the xbox using ftp.
In MechAssault, I see 'Linux', but when i select it, the xbox hangs. The Disclabel of
MEchAssault is MS02301L-L1
anybody can give me some hints ?

Then I tried MechInstaller-1.0-FATX-Images.zip, and put them on my stick. The Xbox Dash sees the game 'MEchAssault', but there are no game-states included
Can somebody give me a hint ?

The linux in mech is just for installing a softmod, what is it you want to do with linux?

Hey, now it worked.
I missed some files before.
Now the Explot in MechAssault worked.
But I realized, that it is the same as the 007 Softmod :cry
I want
* "Linux" to appear in the MSDASH instead of "XBOX LIve"
* Linux to be installed in my xbox. I have got a very big F: Drive now.
At the Moment i am installing Fedora for linux in my xbox.
I have done this once before, but after installation (and downloading lots from the net)
i did not see the linux.
How can I access linux, once it is installed, and where is it stored ?

I find the best linux to run on the xbox is DSL (Damn Small Linux) you can find this on x-bins, the aid disc.
