Alright, I have researched this topic and found nothing but the same..

I've got xsnesx to work perfect
I've got neogenesis to work perfect

but for the life of me I cant get surreal64 to work!

- I have double and triple checked all the .ini files
- All my roms are in .usa format
- I even tried new roms, thinking mine were corrupt?

The roms show up (pictures), but when I go to load them.. it loads to black then just sits there.. and I eventually have to reboot my xbox.

Can ANYONE help?

Has anyone tried PJ64X or Daedalus X to see if they might work better? I haven't tried these myself.

I have a working version of Surreal64, but if I extract all of the roms and FTP them into a new version of Surreal64 they don't work at all.

But, mine is also set up a little different than most. I have a folder within PxHDD Loader that contains all of my Surreal64 files and roms... So, my Surreal shows up in, "Games on HD" and I lauch it from there. It's in my PxHDD Loader "HDD Loader" folder with all the other PxHDD Games.

It works...so I stick with it...HA

Interesting idea.... when you launch PxHDD Loader, does Surreal64 show up on the list of games?

I think thats what he meant., at least thats how I understand it. I am in the same boat as omni, and I would love to get my surreal to work as well. So, any further explanation on that would work.

And is it explanation or explination, or am I completely misspelling it?

Thanks

'Xboxter', you are correct.

'RedJello', I am going to send you a CDR with the game file, just put it in your PC and then FTP the folder into that holds the PxHDD loader games

When the time comes, I'll walk you through it. Then you can have your N64 going. Since I did your mod and didn't set up that way, I'll just send you the file and walk you through it.

If I can just download it off the site it'll save you the disk and I can just be walked through it that way. If not then thanks for the effort.

It never ceases to amaze me the time and effort that people put into this site.

I'll see if I can get it compressed enough to make it managable..if not, I'll have to mail it to you. I don't mind. After all, you paid me to do your mod bud.

Post subject: Surreal64 ROM Loading Problem
Reply with quote

Hi Omni,

I was having problems with Surreal64 also locking up after appearing to have loaded the ROM. I changed my BIOS from X2 4983.67 to EVOX M7 and lo and behold some of the ROMs started working. Re-tested my theory by re-flashing to X2 4983.67 and X2 4982.06 and Surreal 64 started locking up again. For those of you experiencing the same sort of problem it maybe worth flashing with a different BIOS.

Ciao

Hi All, I have found that if you put your Roms folder in the root of f: they will show up. So it will look like this /F:/Roms Hope this helps out Smile
