ok so my xbox has long since been softmodded thanks to the help of some special members here but for my poor friend whos been envious of mine, his isnt.
we did the "hard part" which was the actual softmod with the splinter cell exploit much like you guys helped with mine that went flawlessly in a matter of 30 min or so (took longer since the SID i had didnt work right from a torrent site, i had to redownload it from xbins which was perfect)
when it came to install AID i turned into a deer in headlights and forgot everything!
his drive is a samsung and maxwell DVD-Rs worked fine for his ISO disc, his xbox reads it with no problems but i just dont remember what to do!
so in a nutshell without going overly into detail, please refresh my memory on eeprom and dashboards? from there on i can get the jist with applications and emulators
but like i said i really dont remember E drive C drive all that stuff! hes got AID 4.10 btw it was what i had on my computer and sent to him via AIM file transfer

Ok jill its not a full on DS thing here.
Any way i still am not sure what you need i mean with aid to install a dash you go to the dash section select softmod dash and pick a dash.
EEprom dont know what your asking with it since you had to back that up to softmod so just make a copy to your pc and pop it in a safe place.
As for emus apps and all that what not just select to install the ones you want.
Now that its softmodded all aid can do is install your apps emus and dashes.
Sorry jill if this aint helping i need some sleep and just dont know whare your going here. lol sorry.

last time i had to install AID i did like all kinds of dashboards and whatnot.
see i thought you were able to jump right in and download all the apps and emus but his thing kept comming up as a failure so i dont know what we were doing wrong?
what caused the failure?
im tierd too......one month off from work and i went back to work yesterday to get my ass kicked by my seargent (he called me spoiled lol- we're good friends known him for years) and made 2 arrests. NOT fun! plus i transfered to a different precinct....no fun at all! im also sick to top it off so all ive been doing is sleeping and abusing the hell out of benadryl lol
so bottom line what the hell am i really suppost to be doing with AID????? grrrrrrr lol

LOL stay calm and take one more shot of your syrup, sid is for the softmod install and aid has a bunch of app that you may or may not want to install.(thats up to the user)
So aid just has more options for dashes then sid it has a ton of apps that you might use like dvd2xbox and such.
Aid is good to have on hand incase you trash your dash and need a boot disc to get back in to the hdd and fix your files.

if you ave a stock HDD, just install one dash and a couple of apps. Dont go filling up the C and E drive

see thats what i remember doing with AID- i downloaded a newer dash, got XBMC, and all the emiulators
BUT when my friend tried to do it, he got failure? what would cause it?
btw, i slept for about 16 hours in the 24 hour period benadryll is niceeeeee lol

Not sure why it wold fail, try installing XBMC as a dash and if you need to you can ftp in the emus.

When does it fail? Is he actually able to load the disc and pull up the AID screen on the XBOX? _________________

sir yes sir
he launches AID just fine and dandy but when it comes to installations, it fails. we jumped into apps and emus and nothing came up. dont know what hes doing wrong? so im thinking its him even though im telling him what to do
his AID he said also looks different than mine which is impossible becasue i sent him my AID file (like i had the download, extracted it and sent him the whole file including the extraction file so his set up looked just like mine and he can find the ISO and burn it)
i dont know, next time i talk to him, im going to have him take a picture of it like i did for hypnotix when we did this....my guess is that my friend is an idiot lmfao ive known him for 10+ years so i know hes kinda spaztic worse than me
ill post pics and keep you informed- we're not continuing till this weekend when we're both off and free from the clutches of work! grrr
