Alright I'm moddin an Xbox for a friend of my brothers tomorrow and he wants me to put an 80mm fan in which is no problem but he also wants the 12v fan mod which I've never tried b4. The problem I have is, is it ok for me to connect the fan to the HD's power cable for the power and ground? Also is it the red or yellow wire thats 12v, I'm pretty sure its the red one but I can't remember for sure. I've looked for a tut on wiring it directly but I can't find any good ones and I'm banned from X-S so I can't check there. _________________

Aight thanks man just wanted to make sure that red is the 12 volt lead b4 I did anything to it, and I can run the ground to the one for the HD too right? _________________

Ok heres the full run down red is the 5v power yellow is the 12v power black is ground.
It wold do a cleaner job if you use a Y splitter.
