Posted: Sat Oct 13, 2007 1:56 am Post subject: Backing up my Games...I just can't do it! HELP!
Okay I'm really getting tired of ruining discs... can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong? **BTW I am backing up games that I own** Here is what I am doing and see if I'm missing a step:
1.) I'm ripping my game to my Xbox HD using DVD2Xbox
2.) I'm using FlashXP to move the game folder from my xbox to my PC.
3.) I'm using Extract ISO to create an ISO file from the game folder...I've also tried QWIX to do this as well with same result.
4.) I'm using DVD Decrypter to burn my created ISO file at the slowest speed 2x on a Verbatim DVD-R which normally works flawlessly.
5.) Disc is unreadable or Unknown etc. when I put it in my xbox.
Do i need to include another file with the ISO or do I need to patch something or close one eye while burning??? j/k Can somebody tell me how they do it because I'm ready to throw my xbox out the window!!

First let me say do nt throw your xbox when its the pc not doing its job. lol
If you can get your hands on nero use it and burn the iso with the burn image to disc option.

Haha yeah right, rotten PC. I do have Nero what options should I use to burn?

I use the burn image to disc setting and the few times it woldent work was cuz i used a DVD+r.
Good luck guy and keep in mind all errors are user errors. LOL
Just in case you wanted to know i damn near kicked the @$$ of the first guy that told me that little line, but i got the point when he said it.

In step 3 you did mean to say crate iso right?

ummm----is the xbox modded at all-----and why are you moving the game folder from your xbox to your pc----you dont do that as far as I know----everything else you did was right---I have never had a problem backing up my originals----and then playing them on a softmodded xbox----

another thing is to clear your cache files-----i forgot to say ----and i would use option extract iso file---(and save to pc) then use dvd dycrpter to write file to disc----I use sony disc-----

repubsandemosuck in his first post he said he was useing dvd2 xbox so he must be modded and his info said he uses an X-3 chip, and you can move the folder to your pc a burn it i have done it a few times.
But you are right he could try clearing the cache and moveing the folder to the pc is not a needed step.

lol---thats funny it says mine is an Xecuter 2.6 ce lite----but its not----its just softmodded-----so no I dont pay attention to what it says about peoples xbox---cause alot of people dont put the correct info in there---but anyway----yea you are right I should have caught the dvd2xbox quote----try clearing your cache----if that does not work---something between you creating an iso file to be burnt and burnoing it is where your problem lyes------I use cxbox tool as my ftp program ---and image burn(ie spin off of dvd dycrpter) to make back-ups----out of well not going to say how many---but I have only had a few games not play----they load---but wont play ---anyway let us know if anything we said works-----dont leave us hanging here----and by the way----"DONT TAZE ME BRO" LOL

If you leve your xbox info out it shows blank and then when someone posts the blank fild will mirror the guy above or under you.
If folks wold fill there info out this wold not be a prob.
If the persons info dont match any one in the room then you know thats there setup.

you dont need to move the game files to your pc to back up the game.
use my tut at the following link to create an ISO of a game disc directly from the xbox dvd drive
