I just bought a PS3 yesterday.....I feel so dirty and ashamed
Still can't beat the old xbox for Media Center though. I don't know why the Microsoft and Sony just don't provide what people want. The media center portion on the PS3 is crap. Plays MP3 and Mpegs...woopty doo. Blu-Ray is good though (already have an hd-dvd player) and the free online gaming is a bonus.

I think that all video game companies should conjoin, and then make one amazing frankenstein system.

You know theres this program called red kawa and it'll let you convert any audio or video file you have to work on your ps3 and then you can just stream it straight to it. Also have you tried out linux for the PS3?? _________________

I just got it last week and haven't really had a chance to do anything with it. I was hoping it would play more formats straight out of the box...to stream h.264 videos would be great. I need to do some research on it forsure. _________________ My Setup:

Actually it can play AVC, FLV QVGA, MPEG2 & 4, and also Quicktime from what red kawa says. If you do end up tryin out linux for it let me know what its like. _________________
