A bunch of my friends were Marines and a real good friend of mine is a retired Marine drill instructor. The Marines boot camp training is still hard but not as hard as it use to be. Before they would break you down and then rebuild you in thier idea of a perfect Marine. Nowadays it's more about what they see in you as skills. They are more intent on using those skills and building them up. One thing though...you might want to do a little research into the other branches of the military before making your decision. Its all about what you want out of military life. If you want to be Special Forces then look at Navy or Army. If you are looking to make a career out of the military then look into the Army or Navy. They can usually give you some kind of occupational skill that you can then use when you retire or finish your tour of duty. The Marines is in no way lesser then the other branches but a good look at all of the branches of the military will allow you to make a good choice. Also no matter what the recruiter says get it in writing!!!! They can tell you anything and it don't mean squat once you sign. So make sure you get all of it in writing and whatever branch you decide to serve in I hope you are happy and get the most out of it.

yeah me & him's talked about it today for a quiet a while, it's something i've SERIOUSLY thought about in my past... but relationships kinda came in to play, but now that that's done & over with (I dont need a girl who threatens me) it's still in my mind.
So like i said me & Glen had been discussing it today.

thanks for the input rebelcharm...ill make sure to do that...for some reason im just really drawn to the Marines...cant really expalin why but I am....yeah hopefully me and brandon will be able to serve together...always do better when ya got a buddy around to help out...thanks bran...im also havin som relationship issues but she said that wether we were together or not that she would support me so i guess i got tha go ahead on that one... _________________

i used to be in the military for a couple of years, my advice to you is ..f#&@ the usmc and f#&@ the rest of the military,
go to college man, you will be much better off,
