Ok, quick question. This is the first time I've used a PSX emulator on xbox (PCSXbox) and when I first tried, I decided to load FF9 first, as a test. Well here's the problem, when I enter battle at all, I don't get to see any of the options so I figure there's a problem and it may be for all of the games if I'm unlucky. The files are .img, .ccd and .sub. I figure .sub is text so I moved it to the text file, but still problems, anyone got ideas or had this problem?

I just started to use pcsx a few days ago myself and i put all the files for a game in the rom folder thay seem to run just fine.
Have you tryed any other roms or maybe yo can unpack the files and repack them as an ISO then it will just be one item to click.
All this aside i do know for sure that all parts of the rom go to the rom folder.
sorry i cant be more help

Use magic ISO to make a bin/cue image of the disk on your comp. Then FTP the bin/cue image to your emu, it should work. _________________

Go into the options on PSXbox and you can adjust the screen size so that everything fits when you play I had the same problem with FF7.

Ok, I kinda figured I needed .bin and .cue files when I did my research, so thanks for confirming it, but which files out of .ccd, .img and .sub should I use for what? I assume it should be .sub for .cue and the other for bin? Or vice versa maybe?
And Thanks cross, I had tried and that wasn't the problem, however it might be only a problem with IX which I'll have to check.

When i make my images, i get a bin/cue file which is the game itself, and i get a 1kb image file. I dont get any sub, or those other files, and mine work fine. Make sure you get magicISO. _________________

I believe that most of the Final Fantasy games for the PSX have issues on PCSXbox. They are rarely, if ever, related to your burned copy of the game, they're software issues. Most of them can be overcome by doing certain changes within the options of PCSXbox. For example, I've gotten FFVIII to work relatively well (sometimes, though, battle menus don't come up all the way, like when I'm trying to select specific spells under Magic).

It should come with all the PSX bios's when you get the emulator. If it didn't, then try getting an older version. _________________
