i just installed a duox2 that already had evox dashboard but i hate it,i like unleashx but i was unaware if it would be a complete screwup on my part by unstalling a new dashbord.anyone got an idea or so?

I have evox and I would like to change it to another dashboard I have the boot disk I need to change the dashboard but I want to know if there are are any precautions I need to take and if this is possible or not

as far as i know if you have a chi[p you wont have any problems. Theres a new version of unleashx out. afteryou install unleash x, just ftp the files over and copy em over the original ones. you can get the updated version at #xbins. _________________

thanks a bunch now i just cant download any skins to my dashboard almost like its not connected to the internet even though it is as i have triple checked any ideas?

How are you trying to download the skins? did you upgrade to unleash x? If so, and you are trying to download them through the dashboard, only one of the servers work. _________________

well i am trying to get a better skin than default and there is an option to download skins when i hit y like it says i have 2 sites to choose from and neither of them work as well as i cant update i still get the same thing.im not sure the error though it is also available on saved games i tried that too and still nothing.

There are quite a few ftp programs to choose from. Flash FXP is probobly my favorite, but after your 30 day trial is up you must pay for an activation code. Smart ftp is another option I've used and had no problems with. Also, I havent tried it yet, but I've heard some good things about Core ftp. You can find all these at their respective websites. google it if your unsure. As for connecting with your xbox, how is your internet setup? If your lucky, you have a router and you can just plug in your xbox change a couple of settings and you'll be good to go. A good tutorial for networking your xbox --> http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-204.html . Once you have FTP access to your box, all you need to do to add skins is ftp the files over to you C:\skins directory. you can get the skins from a few different places. Just google it and youll find what your looking for. _________________

As for a good skin, I recomend "Stealth Mode White Edition" By far one of my favorite skins for its visuals and ease of use. Some skins use some pretty crazy color schemes making them hard to read and use. _________________
