Ok i have modded 6 xbox so far... And i know what to do. But today i try modding an xbox and when i have to take the cd out and then start the system and when it says you have succesfully installed the softmod...but there is one more step. Then i do that step and then when i restart the xbox and only goes to the original ms dashboard. Am i doing something wrong?? I don't think i am. I have the latest dashboard and everything.

Ok, im assuming you used the softmod method, correct me if im wrong.
You went through the entire process of transferring the game saves to the xbox HD, blah blah blah. Ran the programs (Game saves), rebooted after all that was installed, right?
You might try going into the memory and deleting the files and then reinstalling them. Pretty much going from scratch. Maybe something got corrupt in the transfer? Dont know if that is possible, but we are talking about a piece of M$ equipment.

Ya dont go in and start deleting stuff. If your clock needs to be reset it will go to the dash, or you didn't install it right. Make sure you have SID 5.01, and start the softmod installer up again. Uninstall the softmod and put them back on again, NEVER JUST GO RAMDOMLY DELETING FILES, thats just asking for trouble. _________________

Sounds like SID 5.0 to me, grab SID 5.01 and try it again. Just make sure you the softmod is deleted properly first before re-applying.

As DJB said, it may be the version is messed up and you should grab the latest version of SID, if that doesn't help many people seem to like v4.5 I think it is. Also, what KIND of softmod are you installing? Dual boot?
REMEMBER: 5.01 is the version fix. 5.0 is the bugged one!

Yep, SID 4.5. I agree that this is a good version. It is basically what the SID 5 system was partially baesd on as well if you haven't noticed.

My first softmod was done with SID 4 so that has a special place in my xbox modding lol _________________
