hello, i havent personally used it, it came as a recommendation from a mate who u swears by it ....... i tried to download it just to test it, but having no DVD drive (old thinkpad 240x laptop) it wouldnt let me open the program

i say this because because the program is really buggy and it frequently freezes my computer.........it seems like it wants to access the internet for no appaent reason. When i prevent it from doing this it acts very strange. When i try to use it gives me a write error

I know this was awhile ago but i still never did find a final solution for this........could someone please tell me what program you use and maybe a quick crash course on it , thanks

Your best bet is to brake down and buy a converter, i use and love Total Video Converter it can convert anything to anything and run fast enuff for me.
I know your looking for a free fix but you get what you pay for and if its free it just shows that its to cheap to sell.

At this point i wouldnt mind spending a bit of cash.........is the program you use good quality? Also will this convert DVDs to Divx?

I use it to convert vids for my zune and have never had a prob with it.
And yes it will do divx and much much more.

looks great!! Is it easy to use? I think the problems that i had with Dr. Divx was that i wasnt doing it right or something cuz it seemed like everybody else had nothing but good things to say about it
