Modded Xbox runs for +/_ 3hrs and then error code 776. I was offered to buy this box - owner doesnt know what chip is in and is out of town.
Anybody heard of error 776?

sorry dude ive only got descriptions for 01 to 21 error codes. i suggest you look it up on google.

Uh, yea, the XBox will only give you errors 1-21, and not even all those are used. I'm assuming though theres something with the HDD he's not telling you

I've never heard of an error 776 before? And apparently, neither does anyone on Google!
Standard errors run from 01 - 21.
Something is definitely wrong. It really puts up 776 in the top left when you get the error screen?

I can't wait to get my grubby paws on it, I to only know errors 1-21.
I'v never seen an xbox stop in the middle of a game and give an error code either! Apparentley it does it no matter what game regardless if it's on DVD or HDD. I'm guessing its some kind of power or temp problem.

Thats exactly what i was thinking.. Maybe PSU is playing up or getting too hot..
Ive never heard of that error code before.. Thats for sure..
