My dash board now runs extremly slow and I cant access any of my games or apps that are on my hardrive. I bring up the menu where my games should be but there is nothing in it, same thing for my apps and emulator menu. This problem started happing right after I copied a new game to my hardrive. My xbox will still run games from disks copied or not. I can switch off my chip and it runs like a normal xbox. I think my dashboard is Evox and my chip is Xecutioner 2. I bought it already modded and have had it a little over a year.
If someone would please help me figure out what is going on and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

If the harddrive is on its way out normally the startup of the xbox is very very slow and somtimes a choppy intro movie.
More then likely you might just need to tidy up your hdd and remove all the old stuff you no longer use..
Apart from that you could perform a full format and reinstall, but i wouldnt suggest that until you learn more about what you need to do.

you have a corrupt or missing evox.ini file
re configure it or replace it
