I just ordered a X3 CE chip off mod-chip.com and i just got the X3_3294 bios off xbins. Im now wondering what tool can configure the X3 bios so partions are differen't, and stuff like that. Pretty much something that configures bios's like X2ool and XBtool. _________________

X3 3294 has config live. Which means it has on the fly bios configuration. You can edit the bios on the Xbox at any time. It should by default load into the config live menu then you can edit what you want from there and if it doesnt then by holding the white button while booting the Xbox will bring it up.

Mine refuses to load a dash, I now have Evox on C,E,F and if I reset ConfigLive or erase the eprom it will boot the dash once.
Shut it down and restart and it loops the flubber and Rox screens.
I thought it was because I've enabled my LCD etc, but it makes no difference.
I loaded m8+ to bank 2 and the problem is the same.
Currently I'm booting AID4 and then booting Evox from there but it kinda defeats the whole object of the X3.

how are you flashing?
also you need to use 3294 1 mb bios. they are specifically made for the X3 chip. then you can configure what drive boots and what dash boots, etc...
the X3 config live is full of tweaks.

I copied the 1mb x3 3294 from AID4, renamed it bios.bin and put it on DVD with a 512mb dummy file. In flashbios 3.01 I flashed from DVD to bank 1.(on, on, off, off)
I played with the settings in ConfigLive and it makes no difference what dash, drive I ask for (tried Unleashed, XBMC as well)
The only thing that seems to work is the trigger shortcut which now boots dvd2xbox.
Originally I set the password (big mistake) and had to erase the eprom, cause it looped the second boot and locked me out of Configlive as well, so now I'm wondering if it could be the eprom or maybe I need flashbios 3.03 but from what I'v read 3.01 is OK for v1.1 box.
I have a 5yr old playing Doom3, GTA etc so would like to fix the password as well, locking it in the cupboard every nite is not a solution.
According to Xecuter it's an "issue" just like blue screens are an "issue" to BillyG&MS

Problem solved
If you place your trainers folder in the same place as your dash it causes the dash not to boot. I deleted the trainers folder and now it boots every time.
Problem now is to get the trainers working again with evoX _________________ 1.1 Crystal box, LG GDR 8163 dvd, 250G Seagate, Xecuter 3CE & LCD CP, AID 4.01
