OK, I know this is probably a simple question, however, could someone elaborate a little on how to backup a game onto my xbox hard drive? First off ... my xbox is already softmodded with ftp access.
So if I put a game in my xbox, is it just a matter of copying all the files from the game disc onto the hard drive (either via ftp access or directly on the xbox with some sort of file browser) to the Games folder and then simply running the correct xbe file? Or do any game files need to be modified in order for the game to work from the HD?

If your xbox is softmoded with stock harddrive you might be able to get 1-2 games on it but if it has more and that good. Anyways all you need to do is at your dash screen go to applications and then click on dvd2xbox then put the disc in and then from there it should be pretty easy on what to do. How would I do it if I already have all the files copied (from D onto the computer? I know it's probably quicker and simpler to do it via DVD2XBox, but I'm curious to know if there's a utility or a tutorial that explains exactly what needs to be done when copying the game files from the computer directly to the xbox?

ftp that folder into E:Games
since you have a retail drive, you should only have a C and E drive.
you wont have much space though.

If they on your comp then use FTP to put it in E:\Games. If you are copying them to xbox use the UnleashX copier or use DVD2Xbox, i use UnleashX because that is my dash. Anymore help MSG me. _________________
