gentoox isnt on aid is it? if not, where can i get it? and can it be ran as an app?

Xbins.org might have GentooX to answer that, and likely will. XDSL is the Xbox ver of "Damn Small Linux" (DSL) (Not intentionally cussing, it's the actual name). Now if your connecting your XBox through a router, which I'd recommend, it should be fine using any of the Linux web browsers and firefox. If not, pull up the options menu which I think might be the white button (haven't used XDSL in a while) and it should give you different internet configuration types like PPPoE.
Edit: Oh, yea, I think GentooX can be ran as an APP, otherwise file explorer will find it since some dashboards won't let others be opened with the app menu. (Like UnleashX)

What dashboards cant you open with unleash x? I've never had that problem before. _________________

I've had problems switching dashes from UnleashX, it may be my HDD, it's kinda a flip of a coin chance they show up in my dash, it's not a big deal, file explorer makes sure it's there.

on mIRC, connect to EFnet Random Server, and join the xbins channel, then type "/msg xbins !list" and it will give you a server address, Username and a Password all for FTP.
