Topic. I have been dying over here with these damned pop ups. Ive tried a few with little to no success. Anyone help me out? Anyone know of a good freeware one? Thanks.

hmmm well its always Internet Explorer with all the pop ups.....I wonder if I should just dump it to where it cant pop up any longer?

What you should really do is download adaware 6.0 for free and run it on your PC...get rid of the spyware that is causing the pop ups.
I don't ever use popup blockers and I am 99% popup free.
Try download.com for the program. It's called Adaware 6.0 and it's freeware so it's no charge man!

i just remember some members saying something about popups a couple of months back.. I fixed them.
I actually think there is a new version of AdAware out there. "Ad Aware SE" still free still as good, just newer.
I am pretty sure it's newer than 6.0.
Some call me paranoid cause I have 4 ad detection programs on my pc, I just think I'm careful

I feel ya RedJello!! I have a couple myself. I have the pay version of Adaware, so I didn't know they upgraded the free one too.
A friend of mine used to work for a company that dealt with the publisher...I used to get all my software for free.
Now I have to pay
Either that of find a new hookup..hehehe.
I know I shouldn't be saying this, and it truly is nothing worth bragging about, but I haven't paid for a piece of software in seven years! And, you'd shit a brick if I told you all the software that I have used in the last seven years..
Everything from Photoshop 4, 6, and 7 to the very first 3D Studio Max, every Macromedia Product that has come out, DVD Copying apps, FTP'ing apps, anti-virus apps, and PC performance apps.
I really never sat down and thought about the software that I have went through! I even fanageled (first time I tried spelling that one) a free Microsoft 2004 Media Center Edition Upgrade for my HP that I bought about 16 months ago. About four months after I purchased it, MS released an upgrade and I was jacked off that they wanted 99.00 for it. I ended up getting it free, only had to pay $9.99 for the expedited shipping.
Now, I think they are giving it free. Not sure.

Hey guys,
I use slimbrowser. It is basically a skin with some extra features that runs ontop of IE. There is a popup blocker built in that works well. You also get tabbed browsing and a web site aliasing that allows for keyboard shortcuts to your favorite sites.

EEP! I cant believe some of you still use IE?! use firefox, its so much sleeker, smooth and most importantly more secure!
it also has built in pop-up blocker function, and its skinable for those of you that are into it.
realmccoy, I also have not paid for very much software, although recently when I purchased my dvd burner, I decided to drop $100 on nero 6 ultra just because I had been using it for 'free' for so many years and thought it was that good. basic point being.. if the product is worth it i will purchase it. _________________ XBOX v1.3

Hey RM? Did my Xbox get to u? Because I just checked the tracking number and it said it was delivered, but it was in New Stanton, not Greensburg. And that has me quite worried because I dont know if your have it or not? Its strange because last time it said it was in Greensburg. I am 110% positive I had your address down right too, because this is the second time the Xbox has gone your way, this time for the case mods. Oh yea I sent u a paypal payment, I havent heard back on that either, u must be very busy today or something. Thanks man.
