I flashed the TSOP with the Microsoft Debug BIOS, and behold it fucked up the XBOX.
I was attempting to make my own trainers, and hoped that was the debug BIOS I was supposed to use.
My question is: will the Duox 2 restore my box?
I don't want to purchase the chip, and find out it can't override the messed up TSOP.

yes, thats what a chipped does, is override the TSOP, but yours just happends to be Debug instead of a regular xbox bios, I would Suggest the Xecuter3CE, with the Xapter, also make sure you know the version # of your xbox becuase the version 1.6 takes a differnet kind of solderless adapter and a different bios for the chip itself when you get it. but yes the DuoX will work, but I suggest the Xecuter and that adapter becuase of the simplicity of install and flashing.

The purpose of making the mod chip for xbox was to override the security features of the tsop, so if the tsop happens to die, you just throw a modchip in. _________________

Check my avatar. It says 1.0.
It's got solider in the holes, and it has a GPU fan. It's 1.0.
I'm going to order the DuoX 2 chip tonight, because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a chip.
Once the chip is installed, will it act like the normal XBOX BIOS, only modified to work with evoxdash.xbe? I made a copy of evoxdash.xbe to default.xbe, because I thought the debug BIOS would use default.
Anyway, what will it do when I turn it on?

once you put the chip in on boot up it will give you a screen which tells you to flash it with a new bios a "hacked" bios, X2 5032 then the easiest way to flash is by the HTTP method, I can tell you how on the Xecuter, but i've never used a DuoX, and after you Flash the bios your going to need a copy of the AID disk. then you boot with the disk in, and click on Setup with dashboard, and you can choose, XBMC is the best. but ya'll have to look around for a tutorial on the Duox.

I would use the x2 5035 bios for the duox2, if that is the chip you are going to buy. You will need to flash via a disk as the duox2 does not support flashing via ftp. The duox2 has two banks, bank 0, bank 1, been awhile but I believe bank 0 has the cromwell bios and bank 1 has the flashbios 3.0.3, I'm assuming here you are buying the white cromwell chip. You want to boot up to the flashbios 3.0.3 bank then before flashing your bios flip the switch to the cromwell bios Bank 0? and flash your bios there. Both banks are 512 which is suited well for the x2 5035 bios _________________ XBOX v1.6

ctene your wrong i hate to say but the duox2 cromwell ed is what i have and thats how i flashed it. but it is a really steady chip and the price is right there. _________________

You are probably right, I just remembered the last one I installed, I re-flashed with flashbios3.0.3 unauthorized and I remember that I had to flash the bios from a disk so my error...thanks _________________ XBOX v1.6
