Now changed my banned eeprom for another one with config Magic and then i rebooted now an error 06!
So... what can i do now? Has my xbox become a paper weight?
Cuz backup of the eeprom is on the xbox! And i don't have a mod chip!
And i have done this many times and now error06.

that is becuase you have a softmod it requires a locked hdd, error 06 means cant unlock the hdd, did you backup your old and new one, if you did then make two xbhdm disks
one with new and one with old. unlock the hdd with the new eeprom and lock the hdd with the old eeprom. a softmod cannot have a new eeprom updated as easy as a modchip, you need to enable the tsop flash points depending on version of xbox, then use config magic then it will update the eeprom on the motherboard. also if you got banned on xbl, then you will also need a new hdd, as the serial was logged, and will cause you to get banned again.
I have a backup for the new not for the old, but i have another xbox and i have the eeprom for it , so i guess i would be able lock it with the other xbox eeprom and use the in that one, that way i wont lose my data!
That would be the only way i could go right? Cuz what your saying is if i don't Have the old eeprom that drive would not work again in the one thats giving me the error06 right? _________________ Xbox V 1.4

Correct, as all that did was change the lock code on the hdd. not the motehrboard. so as long as you unlock the xbox with the new eeprom, and lock it with the eeprom on the working xbox your good, but if that xbox is not chipped or it is not tsop enabled, do not try the eeprom change again like you did on the other xbox.
also if you get one xbox live on that xbox with your old hdd, that xbox will be banned on xblive.
as for the old xbox to fix it, chip it, and pop on another hdd, if you cant solder or dont wanna do it your self then pm me and ill work out a deal with ya. _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

I unlocked the hdd, and then locked with the working one and it worked! Yay. but while a i was searching the drive to make sure nothing got deleted , I found my original eeprom for the one that gave me the Error06!
