Hey all, just curious to know if anyone running into this.
This is the first time I used the 1.3 AI on a 1.4 xbox and a 1.6 xbox.
Now, on both machines the MS Dash gives me the infamous error code 13....which I know is dash related.
I have the MSKernel that I used on the last 1.4 when I had this issue, so I am going to try it. I just thought that my dash files were used on this 1.3 AI so I was curious if anyone else has ran into this.

Hm, funny how it will work on older xbox's (and work on a 1.6) but not on a 1.4. Are you sure you followed all the steps (not meaning to make you sound stuipd as I know you're not)...

Yeah, I followed all the steps. Everything else worked perfectly! But on both machines the 1.6 AND the 1.4 I got error code 13 when trying to launch the MS Dash.
Both machines were fine for everything else. I hooked both of them up to my PC and FTP'd the mskernel that I submitted and chose overwrite all..now I am all good on both machines.
I have two machines that I am doing right now...a 1.6 and a 1.4 so I will use the 1.3 installer again and see what happens.
I am going to burn it again to assure I don't have a corrupt file or something on the AI that I have...everything else is great though! I like the 1.3!

Hey DJB, I did another 1.6 today...same thing happened. I am getting frag and error 13 when booting MS Dash with modchip disabled.
I don't know what I could be doing wrong..so not sure what is up. Basically, I install new HD and make sure it's unlocked.
I format retail
I prepare retail
I install Dash's
I install Apps
I lock HD
I install DVD Region Free...
I have done one 1.4 and two 1.6's with the 1.3 and the same thing happens.
If I FTP the files that I have for that I uploaded to the site, it asks me if I want to overwrite I select yes to all and it's then all okay.
What do you think bud?
I'll talk to you later man. Is it something I am doing? I don't understand how I can install the MS Dash incorrectly since there is only once selection for it.

Hm, try skipping the DVD Region Free bit...
Dunno if that would be stuffing anything up, I usually don't use it since I use DVDX as my default player.

Hey bud, it took me two minutes but I found the problem. It's the xboxdash.xbe file.
Maybe you only included the xboxdashdata.17F14D00 folder that I uploaded or the xboxdash.xbe file could have gotten corrupt when making the autoinstaller.
What I did was FTP ONLY the xboxdash.xbe file over (from my known good mskernel folder) to the 1.6 machine and it boots up fine now.
Since forahobby just did a 1.6 maybe he can verify.

Hm, ok. Atleast we might have a solution.
It's funny coz I'm absolutely sure I would've put all the new stuff in that installer. Anyways, I'll have to double-check that the new AI is working with it.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that is it. When I check the xboxdash.xbe that I uploaded versus the one that gets installed mine is a larger. So they have to be two separate files or something happened to it during my download or the AI creation...
Did forahobby do the 1.6 yet??
Anway, goin to bed!! First time in four days I am laying down before 4AM!!
