It is a simple mod, you can purchase or make a controller dongle w/ a USB.
If you are feeling a little crafty you can custom install one in place of one of your controller ports (your controller ports are actually a modified version of a USB port) Standard color codes apply.
Team Xecuter has the X3CP which has an LCD panel USB ports already built in and built in bios bank switches. (Designed specifically for the X3 modchip) It all depends on what you want out of the finished product.

well the thing is when i was playing around with it i noticed there was, if i remember correctly, one extra wire on one of them and two different colors. do you know of any tutorial or wire diagram? thanks

p.s. i tried both using the adapter from the quick disconnect controller and they actual controller port itself from a run down xbox

well stupid me if i would have just taken the time to do a google search i would have found the tutorial faster thanks

OK if you dint want to make one your self there's a 3 in 1 head set at game stop made by mad cats it comes with a usb dongle for xbox if you want to make one all you do it take the brake away cord cut it in two take a usb extension the kind with a mail on one side female on other cut it in half strip them so you can see the weirs on the xbox there will Be 5 red blue green black and yellow the yellow don't matter ignore it the usb has 4 red blue green black mach all the colors and connect them and their you go if you use all the ends you can make a xbox to usb to plug usb in to xbox and a pc to xbox so you can plug xbox controllers in to your pc you need drivers to use the xbox controller look for a thing called xbcd stands for xbox controller driver
