I bought the daughter a lcd for xmas so thought i would swap her old Evox setup to XBMC so she can use the HD options.
I install the xbox dash first (on C: ) then xbmc (again on c: ) but this errors and i noticed that available space had gone to zero. So reformatted put xbox dash on again and then tried to put xbmc on f:.
Booted up and it just went straight to the xbox dash.
Is this something i'm doing or is it a bios thing on the X2 chip i'm using?
Xbox v1.1
X2 2.1 w 503x (not sure tbh)
80GB HDD

Does the MS Dash have to be on there? Or can I only have Xbmc I am having a similar problem with space.

isnt xbmc sposed to be on E? and yes you need the ms dash.... _________________

No idea it worked on C but with the add on skin packs it is too big. I reinstalled it on E last night and now it only boots to the MS dash and I have no access to any of my programs or Games.
How can I get my main dash to run from E ? I would rather do this for the space.

Ah I have a chip so I don't use the SID.
Anyone else know how to get my Main Dash to boot from E ?
Is there maybe a file I can edit?

you should still be able to use aid but select install dashboards(modchip) instead....or maybe it says hacked dashboards....dont remember... _________________

depends on what chip you have, they automatically look for them on the C: it doesnt matter if its on C: unless you want to use Live with chip disabled. then it has to be on E: try to boot off AID, reformat then re-install XBMC on C: and MS dash, you should be able to put skins on E: and it work fine..

i just put avalaunch dash on my xbox it has a auto downloader for xbmc then you can edit your dash .xbe file to boot right to XBMC hope this helps
