I suggest using the http flashing method. Then use AID to install your apps and such. The http way is fast and effortless. The bios might have to be in a certain folder on the cd, and AID might not work for the flashbios cromwell, I have never tried, so I can't say if this is true. or you might have to try a different brand or cd-r's or dvd-r's? look into http or harddrive fashing tutorials...http://www.team-xecuter.com/flashbios/http.htm _________________

You will need the x3_3294.bin bios file on your computer.(For xbox v1.0-1.5)
On the xbox Flashbios 3.01 use the network flashing option.
Using the IP address displayed on the screen go to your computer, open your web browser and type that IP in the address bar. Which should bring up your Xecuter Flash screen.
Locate the x3_3294.bin file then upload and flash.
Don't touch anything untill the xbox turns off.
That's it, when you turn the xbox back on, you should be looking at the X3 Config Live.

No, but it will make it easier. Most routers have a built in DHCP server which can assign IP addresses to both your computer and your Xbox.
No it doesn't require an active internet connection to work.
I only suggest this method because it is very easy to set up.
If you would rather make a Flashbios CD you can try this tutorial: http://www.team-xecuter.com/flashbios/cd.htm

yeah, you can use flashfxp to place the bios in c:\bios, and flash from the harddrive option in the flashbios screen. _________________

stud_man50 why don't you use Firefox? Why support m$ any more than you have to?
I think we need to get past flashing the bios first.
Does anyone know how to explain how to connect an unflashed xbox to computer without a router (eg. configuration settings, crossover cable) so Bruzer can move forward with this?
