Hey guys question for the mass minds Wink

I am looking to up-load a game to my X-Box that I ripped into a ISO that is on my computer,
Am I correct in assuming that all you do is FTP it to the X-box and go or first burn it to a DVD then install it to the X-box??

Thanks

Target-Boy

My understanding is that if it is in a .iso format, you burn it to a CD for backup.. as far as I know if you just FTP the .iso file to your xbox it won't work. You have to "winrar" the .iso file I think to be able to FTP the files to your xbox. I'm not 100% sure though, RealMccloy just explained this in another post.

I hope this helps.. if not, slap me:)

If you have an ISO, you have two basic choices:

1. burn it to CD-RW or DVD
2. extract the files from the ISO & FTP them to the Xbox (I use C-Xbox Tools)

Thanks guys for the info
Question
If I was to burn the ISO to DVD how will I know if it is a good image before I burn it I hate to waste a DVD?
Same for the up-load is there anyway to test it??
And what software do you recommend burning the ISO to DVD

Thanks again

Target

I suppose you could extract the ISO, FTP the game to the Xbox, and see if it runs... if it does, the ISO is probably OK. Otherwise, you must consider the source of the ISO and have a little faith!

I use Nero 6 for burning DVD ISos.

I know Leisure Suit Larry iso can be successfully burned with Nero... it's about 2.75GB. I usually don't burn isos... I prefer to extract and FTP 'em, but, unless by get another HDD, I'll have to start burning them.
