ive had this xbox for about 3 years now and haven't had a serious problem that I couldn't fix. now I can't play any of my games. im using a hardmod w/evox 3935. everything else works. emulators, apps, DVD player, XBMP, m$ dashboard. the only thing that won't play are my xbox games on the HD. when I try to start a game it will show the loading screen. you heard the HD read and writing, but then it loops back to the dashboard. it had been unplugged for about 3 weeks. before you assume I didn't search let me tell you what I have already tried.
1. set the date and time (read that it could screw up the save games and games)
2. clearing the cache ('e:\cache' had only 2 512 byte files in it)
3. clearing X,Y,Z drives (nothing was on these drives but empty space
4. clearing TDATA & UDATA (well i didn't really clear them. i renamed the original folders, and created new empty ones)
currently I am unable to try an original disc since I gave them to my cousin. what else can I try...in going to download the new version of slayer auto-installer, and reload evox, and the apps and see if that works. ANY OTHER HELP IS APPRECIATED

I think its time to update your modchips bios, if possible and download the aid disk. _________________

ok i have the aid disk downloaded and burned. the xbox recognizes it, but it won't load it it loops back to evox like the rest of the xbox games on the HD. could the mod chip have been knocked loose. so that instead of it loading a different bios its loading the default one. but if thats the case why is it still loading evox, and the homebrew apps, and emulators??? also is it possible to run the aid disk from the HD, or to flash the chip from evo-x???

your right, if you can still load EVOX, your chip didn't loose. Try to get another type of media and burn another copy of the autoinstaller. If you get it working, update your BIOS and also format your drives and start over from scratch. Sounds like a cache issue, but you said you deleted all your cache stuff.

Try loading games/AID from XBMC. That should fix your problem. EvoX sucks, lol. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
