Hello everyone
I'm in the middle of my first Xbox mod chip experience and I need a little help getting to the "Config Live!" menu for my X3 chip.
The chip is the soldered version, and I am quite sure that part is done correctly.
I've also flashed (and reflashed) the BIOS using the latest BIOS (3294) and using banks 1 and 2 (on on off off). When I turn on the Xbox, I see the flubber annimation, then the black screen with the Xbox logo on it, and underneth that is the "Xecuter Rox My Box" logo. However, the Xbox just sits there when I get to this stage.
On the chip itself, I see 2 blue and a green LED light on, and the chip is indeed enabled because the Xecuter logo on the front of the Xbox is illuminated blue.
Also, I haven't installed any sort of dashboard yet (I don't think I'm at that stage, I would think I need to see the X3 Config menu first.
I have the X3 chip, along with the completely new front panel and LCD screen. I need to get to this X3 Config menu in order to enable the LCD and change some other options. How do I get there?
The menu I need looks something like this:
I should also mention that I can boot to EvoX Dashboard from a DVD. Not sure if that matters here though.
I've been messing with this thing for a while now, and I really want to get it working. I used a few guides to install and flash the chip, but nothing seems to work. I've seen a lot of threads that asked how to STOP the Xbox from booting to the X3 Config... but nothing that tells you how to get there.
Thanks in advance for any and all ideas!
EDIT: I was just browsing the forums here some more, and came across the method of holding down the white button when booting the Xbox. This doesn't work for me either.

The white button definitely works, I do it all the time. If it doesn't work try a different controller, and hold the button before even powering on the xbox.
As for your dashboard, I recommend using something like AID3.10, just boot that and install your dashboard.
So if you try that and it still doesn't work, post back _________________
I just tried it again (a few times actually) with a Logitech Wireless, original Microsoft S controller and an original (large) Microsoft controller, and none of them work. I tried holding it down before turning on the Xbox, and pressing it at the same time I turned on the box on each... nothing.
I haven't really done much research on dashboards yet because I've been trying to get the chip working normally first, but I will certainly try ADI and get XBMC on there.

You may want to try to reflashing the 1mb bank(go through the emergency bios) with 3294 again to make sure, or even try flashing it to the the second 1mb bank(off off on on I think) _________________
I have reflashed the "on on off off" 1MB bank a few times now, but that didn't fix the problem.
Just tried reflashing with "off off on on", but it won't complete the flash. I went into the backup BIOS, and flashed from disk like I did before, but it will not complete. The yellow progress bar completes, but the green one only makes it about 1/4 the way, and just sits there.
Protect is off, it just doesn't seem to like those banks.

Yes, all my controllers were always plugged into slot 1.
I'll give the AID program a shot and see if that works. I'll post back either way for sure.

Ok I've tried the AID, but I can't get my Xbox to boot to it. I'm using the same type of media as I always have (to flash the BIOS and to run EvoX from CD).
Where do I go from here?

If you can get evox to boot you should be able to FTP the X3 erase program onto the xbox and run it through evox, or customize your evox.ini file to make a special working version.
There should be no reason for AID not to work though. You burned the same media? Try 1.0x burn speed through dvddecrypter _________________

Are you using the x3_3294.bin or x3.3294.v16plus.bin?
