I used dvd-r and nero to burn it, and my xbox didn't recognize it? I also have dvd+R, but didn't want to make anymore coasters unless I asked first? I don't see the word dual layer on my dvd media, should it be dual layer and what brand is the best or does it matter?

TIA

Stick to dvd-r. Try first using DVD decrypter to burn. If the media still won't read, try ridata or maxell band dvd-r's.

Use Taiyo Yuden -R from Rima.com. Ive backed up nearly 100 games and have never thrown a coaster while using TYs. I burn with Nero.

I've burned 10 games so far no problem by creating the ISO with QWIX and make sure to patch the default.xbe file first (also in QWIX). Then I use Verbatim DVD-R discs with DVD Decrypter and burn at 1x. 10/10 with this route.
