My last xbox had a problem with the power supply and ending up breaking. Nothing was wrong with the harddrive though so i took it out and saved it. So what i'm wondering is if i softmod a regular xbox with splinter cell can i simply replace the harddrive with my old one? Thanks?

you will have to either do a hotswap or get xbox harddrive manager from xbins on irc look around for a tutorial on either of those they will explain it all.
