Hi all.

Since im an oldtimer on the Miggy, and having the winuae on the pc.
Well the real miggys a500, a1200, cd32 are in storage.

Now for the questions.

1. Can you run winuae-x on a un-chipped xbox?
This means run it from cd only and play games on a clean xbox.

2. If so has anyone made the configurations on it, and where can i get it?

The reason why i ask is that i have an unmodded xbox and wanna play on it, and it would be coolf to take the cd with me to a friend and play there.

If the xboxes you mention have no type of mod on them at all then no, you can softmod quite easily now though (apparently lol).

Rehi.

If i softmode it, dont i loose the xbox live function or so?
According to http://xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-183.html
I can take a backup of the eprom, and revert to original again.
I havent found any tuts on that.

Or are they any mod chip that i can just stick in a port and use (solder less, and no opening the box and so on), like and extra dongle.

The reason is i can softmod my xbox but i want to be able to have a cd, dvd, and go to my brother for an example just plug it in and play, on his xbox. He dosent have internet connection.

ATM there is no way to sign the code or create the security sectors on a DVD-R to make things run on a unmodded xbox. Consequently, there is no way to make a CD/DVD and drop it into an unmodded xbox and have it run.
