Got this a few months back and installed it. Was kind of sporadic on working though. What it would do is when I go to turn on the XBox the light comes on flashes green then goes off, comes on again flashes green goes off, comes on a 3rd time flashing green then goes to flashing red. The process just seems to repeat itself. Now before it would do this about 3 times and then it might work. Now it does it every time and I can not get xbox to turn on. Anyone else ran into this before? I appreciate all the help...

What xbox version do you have? When its flashing green and red is called a FRAG. Open up your xbox and see if the installation is smooth. Like the wires are all the way into the LPC, especially the d0. If your xbox is flashing red for like half a second then flashing green, you probably have a corrupt eeprom. You also might have a bad chip.

I want to say it is a 1.6. I know the blue led on the chip itself won't come on and it has done this for a while. It just worked on occasion before. And it never turns green after flshing red. Just stays flashing red. I will open it up later and check the connections. Maybe I didn't get enough solder somwhere or maybe it got bumped and D0 came loose. I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the suggestions.

My best bet would be to open it up and see if theres any visible damage, then take it from there. You might need to resolder or unsolder or soemthing. So just open it up and tell us the details.

You definitely an install issue. Since it would work sporadically, you most likely had a connection that was just off a hair. If you have a soldered intsall, just reheat all your solder points. If you have a solderless solution, just make sure all is connected securely.
This should be a very easy fix _________________ Xbox 1.4
