Did you recently change it from pal to ntsc or do something with your HD settings? These are usually the problem with black and white video _________________
no. didnot change anything. in 1 out of 50 times colors are ok. but most of the time i get black and white picture with colour lines running from the top to the bottom of the screen. How do i check if my xbox is pal or ntsc ?

What I was refering to with the pal/ntsc was if you had used the switcher. If you don't know what that is it is not the problem
Can you try different video cables? Could just be a loose connection?
yeah i already open the case and change therno paste on the chips
anyway,i jst checked in my unleash settings, in the Video EPROM i had:
Auto switch = on
Mode: Pal
Force Pal60: yes
the xbox is ok now. The colours are normal. However, from my experience i know the problems comes and goes as if its a hardware failure or somethin as you are saying to do with colour mode.
