Post subject: Games on my harddrive

Hi,

I have bought a X-Box for made an arcade machine (not emulator)
I have moded it, added a bigest harddrive and bought X-Arcade for play my games (DOA 3, SC2...)

I have backuped my games on the harddrive, but not all are working !?

For example DOA is OK and SC 2 don't whant to start.
I think there is a copy protection and would like to now what is the solution for bypassing this problem... (if there are patchs or special bios, where to found files ?)

Thank you very much for helping me ! Wink

Umm, what did u use to rip the games onto the hard drive? PX HDDLoader automatically fixes media flag checks, and are you using EvoX as your default dashboard? If so do u have in game reset turned off? that might help... Laughing

Thank you.
I'm using "PX HDDLoader" for backups and EvoX as defauld dashbord, like you said... I have a Matrix Modchip on a 1.0 x-box.
Do you know were can I found the lastest release of EvoX, etc... (if here is the problem...)

Hi,

If a game isnt booting off the hard drive there is a reason.. It could be one of the following:

1. Turn of the In Game Reset and all Resets under the evox settings.
2. The game has protection and requires a patch.. (these patches can be found by doing a search in the forum e.g. search for Burnout 2 patch)
3. You are using pxHDDloader (older versions) which doesnt copy some filenames...

I will be back online again 24x7 to update the site and the software so come back and check it out..

Normally everything can be found in our DIRECT CONNECT hub (DC HUB) or in the downloads section..

hey connor2k fancy seeing you in here.. heheh Smile

Basically i have found that only the latest games which are basically from March 2003 have protection but there hasnt been one yet that i havent had running from my HD..

Dont sweat it.. Just download the patching tools... do a search in the forums for Burnout2 and Enter then Matrix as they are prime examples of new games which require this type of patching.. There are links in the Enter the Matrix Post to download these files.. (thats if there not already in the downloads section)..

Hi there,

Yes i have. I used the latest version of pxHDDloader ( i cant remember the version number).

You can also use a app called Craxtion (ver 3.1 is the latest i think), but with this app you have to FTP the XBE file to your PC then patch with craxtion and FTP back.

Hope that helps.. Very Happy

Your best and easiest solution.

Become a VIP member by donating 10 bux. Then, visit the VIP download section and download DJB auto installer.

It has all the apps you need to backup games to your HD.

the only other alternative would be to read some tutorials, seach the interent for slayers autoinstaller, or programs like DVD2xbox, pxxloader...

those two programs will backup/copy original xbox games to your HD.

What type of modchip you running? What size HD do you have. What bios are you running?
