Unfortunatly i have been born in michigan and forced to be a lions fan. Our people have suffered many hardships for years and i doubt anything will change anytime soon. If we finish 8-8 ill be amazed!!! The sad part is I'm not even joking egzagerating either i really would be extremely impressed wih 8-8.

There's only one team to root for...GO STEELERS!!!
CFL has some good playes for sure. I also like the wider field, larger endzones and the wide receivers being allowed to move toward the line of scrimmage prior to the snap of the ball, however I am partial to the talent of the NFL. Not knocking the achievments of CFL playes and the league in general, but the NFL lures the best players in the world. NFL teams just have way more money to throw at players. Average CFL salary is about $45000.00 while the NFL minimum is a whopping $477,000.00.
While my loyalty as far as NFL teams goes is always going to be Steelers, I am skeptical what type of year they will have coming off of Super Bowl XL win. Redskins definitely have a shot this year, but I am very curious to see what a lot of the other teams in the AFC and NFC accomplish this year. Miami may just surprise a lot of people this year if Culpepper can have a good season and stay healthy/productive.
New Orleans is for real, believe it or not! Seattle can also stay on top of their division and have a good shot of going to the show again.
I think Arizona is possibly one/two short years away from being a seriously dominant home team. They have the best receivers in the league and now have added a potentially big play QB who if called upon early like Big Ben, can rise to the occasion and mount an incredible career.
You gotta love Pittsburghs story though, more particularly Big Ben's unbelievable record as a starter the last two years. I believe his regular season record is 23-3. That is just frigging incredible. What this kid has accomplished (yes, I know it's a team sport, but....) in such a short time.
Our big questions this year are:
Offense: Running game.
Defense: Secondary..can they be a cohesive group in a short period of time?
Losing Randel EL to Washington sucked, but I dont think we will miss him entirely. Cedric Wilson is having an incredible camp and came on strong toward the end of last year. Hines Ward, although hobbled with a hammy is bound to have a productive year once again. Don't forget, Hines Ward although not used like Randle El has been, was a standout player at GA and played three very important positions extremely well. RB, QB, and WR. If Cedric Wilson and the other wideouts draw the attention that Hines typically does, Ward can then assume the slash role and be available for trickery plays out of the backfield like Randle EL did.
On defense, we have a lot of talent and arguably the best strong safety in the league. Troy Polamalu is according to Cowher the most cerebral players he has ever coached. It's awesome to watch him play. He was hobbled by a bad ankle in the big show last year and didnt shine as he did during the playoffs and regular season, but look for him to have a big year. He is in a different zone after winning the superbowl and no longer homesick for western California.
Hopefully, Willie Parker can have a great year at running back (albeit I have doubts) and Veronn Haynes can add a powerful change while at the same time be a catching threat as I do not believe Duce Staley will amount to anything in a Steelers uniform. He is a 4 million dollar mistake and I think he was damaged goods ever since we took him from the Eagles.
Right now, besides talks of winning another ring...the biggest story in the burg is the thought that coach Cowher may leave the city of Pittsburgh in two years and be the coach of Carolina. Gotta love the rumor mill in Western PA!!! _________________ Xbox 1.4

Mother fu@#!g Skins, how the heck do they lose to the vikings, AND the cowboys!! Its Brunnels fault; Gibbs has gotta put rookie jason Cambell, instead of Brunnel, as even Ramsey is better than Brunnel. It wouldnt make no difference if the skins were losing 40-0, or winning 40-0, Sean Taylor is the only positive stat on the skins. They gotta get portis.... Redskins team making me lose good fantasy points, mother fu@#!rs!
