Hello. I was wondering if there was any seperate tutorial on the indepth stuff for SID 3.0? I'm tryiing to change the Video settings for the best possible settings, but am unsure of what each thing might mean, and what impacts positive and negative each setting has. Such as changing the "Video Mode (eeprom safe)" settings. Not sure what it will do if I change them. There were a few people who were nice enough to help me with "soften" and "filter", but I don't want to keep bugging everyone for every small question if I can read through something. I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with my settings since my friend's unmodded xbox shows MX vs ATX Unleashed nicer than mine (we both have the same tv-and the game is suppose to be 720p-we have the same setup except mine is modded and his is unmodded). The Unleash Dash shows the menu screen nicely (and says it shown at 1080i), so not sure why the games aren't as crisp. I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong wtih the Unleash Settings (MS Dash settings are the same - all HD settings on). For anyone who's knows indepth on the workings of HD, could a chip that sends packets to the TV have gotten burned out or something? I'm not sure if somehow the TV is getting the signal what the display should be, but just isn't receiving the packets to display in 420p or 1080i. I'm just throwing things out there ofcourse, I'm not that technically inclined with this sort of stuff.

You mention that a friends looks really crisp: Are you testing with the same game on the same TV? If not, you can pretty much ignore it as the tv and game settings will be different. If you can then you have a really nice control system that you can work with.
If your TV has settings to autodetect whats coming in, use those. It should switch to the appropriate output method based on the video signal coming through.
Alternately, make sure that you turn off any stretch or zoom features on the TV. If you have unleashx set to widescreen, then you tv should be set to a 16x9 video display setting.
Do you have any other equipment that will produce HD signals across component cables that you can test with?
The xbox's video settings shouldn't be the issue, but if you can test with your friends box on your TV, then at least we can be sure one way or another. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

No, I had just gone to his home, not on my TV. We do have the same TV, and same HD xbox cable (component cable). But you do bring up a good point with testing his xbox on my TV. I do have a HD cable box hooked up and that's working fine. That's why I wasn't sure if it was something with my xbox. Even when it was unmodded my FIFA 2005 looked smoother. My TV does auto recognize signals. It does detect the Unleash Dash is showing at "1080i", and also the MX vs ATV game shows" 720p". The difference is that the Unleash Dash looks very nice smooth and crisp, but the games just arent showing that same nice picture. I'll have to find a Dragon's Lair 3D game, saw that was at 1080i. Can't find that at Blockbuster, so will have to check gamestop. Thanks again for the help and info!

No problem, glad to help.
The game rendering and such is done by the MSdash files. Best that I can recommend is to undo your softmod, replace the ms files, and redo the mod.
