Almost a year ago my xbox's modchip was desoldered at some points and i got an error message saying the harddrive was unlocked. I had opened the xbox and found out that my cousin's friend (who had modded it) did not do a very good job soldering it. A bunch of the soldering points were undone. I was going to wait till i visited my uncle so that i could ask him to resolder it. After almost a year of waiting, i'm going to his houe next week. I left everythign unplugged inside the xbox, so it wouldn't be a pain later on to remove everything. While i was away, one of my younger cousins tried to turn on the xbox and he plugged in the xbox to the electrical outlet. My brother caught him, but the xbox had turned on. My brother said he immediately turned it off and put it away. I had a couple of questions.
1. Since it was turned on and nothing was connected (harddrive, dvd drive hadl the IDE cables unplugged), would it have damaged my xbox.
2. If all i have to do is resolder the points, will my xbox work fine after i get it resoldered?
3. Would i have to reprogram anything?
I'm really excited to get it fixed. My xbox has been nothing but an expensive paperweight for the past year.
~Edit~
Does anybody know a site where i can get a tutorial with pictures on installing an Xecutor 2 modchip? I had found one a year ago while searching on google, but i can't find it anywhere.

Thank you, but i worded some stuff incorrectly.
I meant that my younger cousin had plugged in my xbox to an electrical outlet. Originally i made it sound like my cousin opened it up and connected everything. Since the IDE cables were not connected, would it have damaged anything inside the xbox with the power not going anywhere?

^^^ I know what you ment, and no, the xbox won't be damaged. (unless you had loose screws or some metal touching the power supply, then you could expect to get a new power supply) A good place for a xecuter 2.X guide would be www.team-xecuter.com. I assume you already have the chip flashed with your bios and all, but if not, Here's a helpful tutorial. _________________

Ah, thank you for the installation website. That was the website i had previously seen.
Would i have to reflash my modchip if the only thing that happened was tha tmy soddering points were undone?
