Hey guys on my xbox i get error 21, and i cannot laucnh dvds and i also do not have the ms dash on

If it were my machine, I would pop a mod chip in it, reformat the HD, and then reinstall your dash files and any other apps/emu's you are wanting.
If you do not have the means to do this, maybe you can find someone who is close to you that has a spare chip so they can temporarily install it for you just to fix your setup.
If you don't get anywhere with that, I would be more than happy to take care of it for you. I have a solderless chip (Xenium Spice) that I can pop in real quick just to get your HD back in shape.
Once I have your HD back in order, I would then just remove the chip and your Xbox would be like new. _________________ Xbox 1.4

its softmoded and i dont want to hot swap it im thinking of buying a chip how would the chip help if i kant load anything? how would i do it with the Xecuter 3 CE?

For you to understand how the chip can help, you need to better understand how the Xbox works. I'll give you some basics.
When you turn your Xbox on, the bios which resides on a specific chip on the motherboard will load. Bios stands for basic input output system. It's what tells your xbox what it's allowed to do and not allowed to do.
The bios also controls what file first boots up off of your hard drive.
One of the main tasks is to launch the main dashboard. If the dashboard cannot load, the machine is prompted to give you an error code, which you are currently getting.
If the hard drive is not locked, the original bios will force error code 05. If the HD is locked, but to a different motherboard, you get error code 06.
When MS first designed the Xbox they wanted a way to be able to test the motherboards without having to assemble ever machine. Thus the creation of the LPC.
The LPC is a series of holes on the motherboard where MS would hook up a testing programmer of sorts. Through these connections they could bypass the original bios and run testing applications that resided on a different chip/programmer.
Here is where the mod chip comes in. Once you affix a mod chip to the LPC successfully, then when you turn your Xbox on the chip will load, not the MS bios. So, if you have a manipulated version of the MS bios (this is often called a hacked bios) you can then run other tasks that you couldn't run on a normal unmodded Xbox. These tasks can include reformatting of the Hd, Installation of applications, emulators, new more powerful dashboards...etc...
The X3 is an excellent, and by far my favorite chip. It is in my opinion the most poweful chip on the market. You have a little bit to learn before you go off chipping your Xbox, but if you read up on some tutorials you will learn in no time. This is what you want to do in the long run once you hav acquired the necessary knowledge.
Choose your chip.
Get an autoinstaller
Get the proper hacked bios. It needs to be compatible with your chip and your version xbox motherboard.
Decide how you are going to flash your chip once its installed.
Install the chip
Flash the chip
Format your HD.
Install your dashboards, applications, emulators.
