I've got an HDTV w/component cable for my xbox. Don't know my xbox version, but my chip is the x2 w/4983.06 bios. When I play a game (HD or DVD) w/the xbox settings on widescreen and/or 480p,1080i and the game doesn't support those settings, the xbox freezes and I have to reboot it. Is there any easy way to auto switch or change settings in EvoX to fix this?

One more question...
What M$xboxdash.xbe version do I need to be able to change the network settings (WEP, etc.)?

THX

hi jakal,

To play PS1 games on the xbox all you have to do is this.
1. Install the PS1 Emulator onto your xbox (pcsxbox v17 - i think is the latest).. You can also download whats called the XBOX HQ EMULATOR AUTO INSTALLER.. Once you burn this AUTO INSTALLER to DVD-R/CDRW you can choose to install any emulator at the touch of a button from your xbox console.. It has a cool menu that is easy to follow..

PLEASE REMEMBER:
You must have a modded xbox to be able to play emulators etc.

2. If you own PS1 games or have some cdr's with PS1 games on them you can use a CD BURNING APP called CDRWIN 3.0 to make .cue and .bin files (images) of these games.. Then all you do is transfer these images into the XBOX PCSXBOX ROMS DIRECTORY..

Thats it..

anyway, hope that answers some of your questions..

cheers,

forahobby

I don't think it's the live settings, coulda swore it was a seperate button under the regular "settings" tab. Could be wrong, because on my friend's xbox it appeared after he installed Live. I tried to update my xboxdash using the update.xbe off of his Live setup disk and got error 21...

hi soreros,

Ok Let me try to understand.

1. Your running a modchip and a dashboard
2. You are looking for your network settings?

If you are running evox as your dashboard then you can change your network and other xbox settings under the 'system settings' link on your dashboard..

If you are running mediaxmenu as your dashboard it uses evox.ini to determine your ip address so you have to have it all setup.. If you dont have evox installed i think you have to setup your xobx network with mxm manually by pressing the 'orange' (Y) button.

If you still have the NORMAL RETAIL M$ Dashboard (same as when you bought the xbox) you need to upgrade your xbox dashboard..

Do you know what i mean..

i hope im on the right track

cheers,

Cool

Yes, my box is chipped w/the X2 Lite, bios 4983.06 (or something like that).

What I'm trying to do is enable WEP encryption on my network. My roommate and I have 2 xbox's, got mine modded and we use his for Xbox Live. For networking, I have the M$ wireless-g adapter. On the *retail* box, I can go into "Settings" and along with Audio, Video, Time/Date, etc., there is a "Network Settings" button. I can configure the SCID, WEP, etc. from there. What I'm trying to figure out is how I can change those settings on my modded box.

Any suggestions?
