You have to do some backing up and deleting. You also need an AID disc.
FTP the contents of c: , e: , and your eeprom to your pc. It' best to put them in their own folder.
Format the c: patition with AID and install the m$dash to it. You'll find the m$dash in the install dashboards menu.
Make a back up of the m$dash and eeprom. Now install SID 4.5. It's in the softmod menu.
Once SID is installed, copy the udata and tdata folders from your computer to the e: patition of your xbox. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

hey traxgoul so i guess you ready to try out sid 4 huh? what dangermouse ment on ftping is if you want to keep your data saved, i'v never update from sid 3 to sid 4 ... i'v gone from 2 to 4. lol
since you have the aid 3 disc with you then you can use it so you dont have to doo much effort. the E is for your saveas and games you might have and so on , the eeprom is for in case of an emergency the hd dies on you or you break the xbox mods then you can use it to make a new hd .
but dangermouse i dont think he needs his C backed up ? i think he can just run aid 3 click install ms dash . over writing the current dashboard, then going to advance and putting 4.5 to hd then taking out aid 3 booting linux and mod it ... or did it make more complicated but ill keep that in mind so when the next thread is about upgradin from 3 to 4 i will have the anwer by then. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

It's all preventative measures. If something doesn't go right, you haves all the data to put back on the hdd. You wont have to start from scatch. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS
